The President of the CCFA, Mr Vincent Reina, opened the 4th France–Gulf Countries Forum, on the theme “Succeeding in a resilient and attractive region”, organised in association with the CCI Paris-Île-de-France, on 23 June.
Gulf Countries: “a region of choice to export, establish a presence and gain international visibility”, according to Vincent Reina.
After the difficult months we have just experienced, linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, this Forum was self-evident for us — as was its theme, “Succeeding in a resilient and attractive region” — so well have the Gulf countries managed a situation that was unthinkable only a few months ago, and so much is the growing importance of their economies asserting itself in a world in upheaval that is seeking new momentum for globalisation.
The improvements to the business environment that all these countries have initiated, as well as the development of major strategic projects in the fields that shape today’s and tomorrow’s economy — the knowledge economy and the sustainability economy — make these markets mature ones with eminently reinforced attractiveness. Strategic projects in tourism, industry, the environment, the sustainable city and many others, together with the implementation of measures facilitating establishment, investment and residence, have definitively positioned the Gulf economies within the panorama of the world’s economies.
It is to help improve this situation, in addition to all the positive reasons mentioned, that we must mobilise. France enjoys strong assets and a positive image in the Gulf countries. It is up to us to seize this. It is up to companies to seize these opportunities.
